mad-lord: You guys better do this when I die, or salt my corpse and burn it. Just kidding. I’m never going to die. This picture is bullshit on fucking toast. This type of grave, called a Mortsafe, was to prevent grave robbers from stealing corpses. After the dead were put into the caged graves long enough to decompose beyond usability as cadavers, they were moved back to permanent graves where we wouldn’t have to deal with people stealing them.
